Originally joining The Red Shift as maternity cover in the early 2000's, Paige's stunning vocals and natural timing are a huge part of what makes us special.
The daughter of our guitarist Gary Yates, Paige was raised in a music loving household, and was exposed to incredible music such as David Bowie from an early age.
Paige is always singing along to her favourite artists, such as Taylor Swift, Maisie Peters and anything country!
Gary Yates
Guitar and Vocals
A founding member of The Red Shift, Gary's effortless guitar playing and raw vocals add a fantastic depth to our music. Alongside these talents, Gary also writes all of our original songs, and still finds time to write songs for himself.
Gary has been in several bands throughout the years, and this experience shows in his performance.
With influences such as David Bowie, Nick Cave and Danny George Wilson, Gary is always writing his next song.
Adrian Harper
Accordion
Ade is another founding member of the Red Shift and the melodies he plays are a large part of what gives us our unique sound.
Ade enjoys listening to folk and classical pieces, but loves adding his unique touch to more contemporary songs.
Colin Guest
Bass
Providing a smooth and deep back line to the band, and one half of our rhythm section, Colin is a music lover through and through. A big jazz and Motown fan, Colin struggles to name his top 100 bands and artist, let alone pick a few for this bio.
His desert island survival kit would be his MusicMan Stingray bass and Mesa Boogie amp!
Tom Barker
Cajon
The latest edition to the Paige and the Red Shift Line up, Tom began playing with us on the occasional song in 2019 and eventually pushed his way into the official line-up.
Influences by many different genres of music, his favourite bands include Sweet, Adam and the Ants and The All-American Rejects.
